Visit the museum dedicated to Sigmund and Anna Freud
The Freud Museum in London is devoted to Sigmund Freud, situated in the house where Freud lived with his family during the final year of his life.
The museum is in the house that was built in 1920. He died in 1939 but his daughter, Anna Freud, herself a pioneer of child therapy, had the house in her name until her passing in 1986.
The museum is recommended to anyone with an interest in history, psychology, or mental health. Freud’s original couch can still be seen, and his chair which was always behind the couch so his patients could not see him.
The audio tour gives the visitor information on all of the rooms in the house. There is an interesting and worthwhile gift shop that opens up to the garden.
