Music lovers around the country are familiar with KOKO, having been a music venue for many years and one of Camden’s most recognisable venues.
Throughout the year KOKO hosts top national and international acts. KOKO is a concert venue and former theatre that opened in 1900 as a theatre, it was first named The Camden Theatre, before reopening as a variety theatre in 1909 under the name Camden Hippodrome Theatre and then converting to a cinema two years later as Camden Hippodrome Picture Theatre.
Now known mainly as a venue with a large stage that puts on gigs and club nights, KOKO has seen the likes of The Rolling Stones, The Jam, Coldplay, Madonna, Bruno Mars, Thom Yorke, and Amy Winehouse.
