We took our team of 12 to Purezza in Camden for an evening meal, some of whom are real foodies, to review and rate the food. Did we leave satisfied?
Purezza has restaurants in Brighton, London (fortunately for us it’s in Camden Town) and Manchester. The Camden location is on Parkway, a short walk from Camden Town station. The restaurant itself is large inside and has a few tables outdoors too.
Firstly, the menu. Quite an excellent choice on there. Yes, the selection of pizzas is very impressive, and the smell from the pizza oven definitely caught our attention. They are sourdough pizzas so we ordered a good selection. Fortunately everyone was up for sharing so we ordered different pizzas. Also added was the Mac & Cheese with creamy gluten free macaroni with pancetta, courgetti spaghetti, and the mediterranean salad.
It must be said, the Mac & Cheese and the salad were out of this world. We’d go back just for that. Then, the arrival of the pizzas. The Lasagne Piccante pizza was heavenly, the Pistachio pizza was glorious, and the Black Truffle pizza with delicious black truffle sauce, topped with mushrooms and camembert brought many smiles.
But wait, there’s more. Dessert! The tiramisu is some of the best we’ve ever had, the brownie was warm and chocolatey, and the Nutella & Superstraccia Dough Balls were something we wish we had more space in our bellies to order another round.
Food wise, delicious. 3 of the 12 people in the group are vegan, and the others didn’t even realise that what they had just eaten was all plant-based. An excellent menu, perfectly prepared, and washed down with some fine drinks from their menu.
Our waiter was very efficient, professional, and had recommendations for those who weren’t quite sure what to choose.
Verdict: It couldn’t have been better, it was all we’d hoped for and more. 5 stars!
