The sports centre in Camden and Kentish Town is getting a refurb and it’s looking magnificent.
The Talacre Sports Centre, right by Kentish Town West station, is getting an impressive facelift. They’re making the centre sustainable for the future, multi-purpose and accessible for everyone.
- 100sqm of new gym space (15 extra gym spaces per session!)
- New studio and programme of activities (25 extra class spaces!)
- New park-facing café
- A new lift, wheelchair storage, and a revamped reception are in the works to make the area more accessible
- Decarbonisation will involve replacing gas boilers with air source heat pumps, reducing 85% of carbon from water heating
- Community events will be held at the centre this summer to celebrate the completion of the project
We’re looking forward to seeing it open and to visit the new Talacre Sports Centre.
