Dry January, and a healthy start to the year by going all vegan is a wonderful start to 2026. Looking to try vegan food and see if you can do the whole month? We’ve listed our 20 favourite vegan restaurants across all of London including those in Camden Town.
1. OMNOM
In Islington, close to Angel underground station, OMNOM is an Indian vegan restaurant. This is a place where any non-vegans to and come out saying , “Wow, I didn’t know vegan food could be this good.” Choose from their Mushroom Kadai curry, Chana Masala, or their tasty Biryani Medley.
With locations in Camden and Hackney, Temple of Seitan has burgers and wraps with sides such as Mac ‘n Cheese. It’s a casual place for a quick bite and well worth a visit.
Camden Market has some of the best food offerings in London, with M’eat the Vegans being one of them. They prove that vegan good can be delicious, and offer a fusions of global flavours. A mix of Oriental, Caribbean, Indian, and Mexican all on one menu.



4. DAUNS
Homemade Scandinavian vegan food at this café and deli in E1, Aldgate area of London. All day menu, weekend brunch, salads, smörrebröd, toasties, pastries, meatballs & mash, tunnbrödsrulle – try all the Scandi goods.
5. Purezza
Purezza in Camden Town is a truly magnificent pizza restaurant. They have perfected the art of the vegan pizza. They also offer a plant-based Italian menu with Mac ‘n Cheese, dough balls, side salads and more. An excellent vegan restaurant in London.



6. My Village Cafe Bar Hawraman
My Village Café in Camden has Kurdish and Middle Eastern cuisine in a gorgeous café setting. The fresh food, all with vegan options available, is a great place to meet on a visit to Camden Town. Bring someone here to impress with a rustic environment.
7. Mildreds
Mildreds is well-known as a mighty fine vegan establishment, they have six locations around London. Their first restaurant opened in 1988 in central London and they are completely plant based. Their vision is simple: fantastic food that just happens to be vegan.

What a place! A fun restaurant, laid back, with an exceptional menu. It’s a bar, restaurant, and events space. The mains are out of this world and being a cocktail bar too they have a great selection of drinks. Crispy oyster mushroom wings, porcini and walnut lasagne, and desserts to top it off. A must-visit.
A fun and inviting spot in Portobello, Holy Carrot has the highest standards of service, knowledgeable staff, and a menu that will widen your vegan horizons. They don’t use meat substitutes but instead bring out the full potential of plant based foods.
10. Studio Gauthier (Tottenham Court Road)
A special place with a fantastic menu. The BFI hosts this restaurant with a luxury interior, this is next level food. The smaller plates to start, a selection of sushi to make your mouth water, and large plates like noodle soup and roasted celeriac shawarma, with cheesecake and other desserts. Looking for a place for a special dinner? This might well be the one.
A cosy spot serving incredibly prepared Japanese food. Itadakizen is a fully vegan restaurant only a few minutes away from King’s Cross station. They specialist in gyoza, fried mushrooms, noodles, tofu steak, to name a few. We’ve enjoyed each visit ourselves and would highly recommend it.
12. Coven Of Wiches
The best vegan sandwiches in London, hands down. Plant-based sandwiches which are stacked full of goodness. The Reuben is a classic, and there’s a reason that Coven Of Wiches is regularly named as one of the best restaurants in Walthamstow.
Veganuary has plenty of restaurants to try in London, and you might well decide that you like the food so much you can stick to it all year round.
